              Hydrangea A. 'Indrediball'
Hydrangea arborescens ‘Incrediball’ is a beefed-up ‘Annabelle’-type hydrangea bred for extra-sturdy stems and huge, snowball blooms that hold up better in rain. A reliable, cold-hardy shrub for bold summer color.
Key features
- Bloom: Massive white mophead spheres that open lime-green → bright white → age to chartreuse; mid-summer (often a light repeat if deadheaded).
- Size & habit: Rounded, durable shrub 4–5 ft tall and wide; stronger stems than ‘Annabelle’.
- Light: Full sun to part shade (give afternoon shade in hot climates).
- Soil & water: Rich, well-drained, consistently moist soil; mulch to keep roots cool (flower color not pH-dependent).
- Pruning: Blooms on new wood—cut back in late winter/early spring (to a low framework or 12–18 in).
- Hardiness: USDA Zones 3–8; very cold-tolerant.
- Uses: Specimen, flowering hedge, mixed borders; excellent fresh or dried cut flowers.
